"Interface"

The noun in physics definition: "a surface forming a common boundary between two bodies of matter or space".

To my association and understanding of the word ‘Interface’, this project aims to explore the aspect of the opposing relationship of light and dark as two separate types of form and space. My experimentation for this project has led my visual aesthetic and approach to digital black and white photography, accentuating the concept relation between light and dark.

Inspired by constructivism art movement and brutalist architectural style. These images aim to draw attention to how natural light effects on location, whether its geometrical abstract on landscapes or simply within or out of buildings, emphasising its structural form, this also demonstrates the vitality of modern architecture and its design, challenging the conventional concern of ‘composition’ and replacing it will ‘construction’ influenced from those movements, in seeking out the truth to materiality into these buildings and landscapes.
