More than just typologies of boats.
Photography has become an observational means, to document the places around me, making pictures that call attention to things that other people overlook as well as tell stories within them.
My choice of subject comes from a location, known as the River Green in Thorpe St. Andrews on the outskirt of Norwich. Having this location to be my most visited place to come to throughout the year, as it being close to home, as well as providing a scenic view from my workplace. Perhaps unsurprisingly these photos reference my feelings of aloneness on location.
Mere less to say, my main subject focuses on producing photographic typologies of boats for this series, as it all comes down to my desire to appreciate and preserve, the simplicity of each unique individual boats on the River Green.
